PRSSA Fall 2009 Committees

Can't make it to PRSSA general meetings? Joining a chapter committee is a great way to stay involved and get experience that will help build your resume and portfolio. Below are details regarding fall committees. If you are interested in joining a committee, please contact the indicated chairperson for further information. Not all committees meet on a weekly basis. You must be a member to be on a committee.

Professional Development Committee - Tuesdays at 6pm in Moore 203

Plan and promote spring conference, agency tours, workshops, guest speakers and more.

Communications Committee - Thursdays at 5pm in the Down Under Food Court

Assist in applying for national chapter awards, research and promote member scholarships, update the internship book and plan community service activities.

Fundraising Committee- Wednesdays at 7pm in the Down Under Food Court

Brainstorm, plan and implement various types of fundraising activities including events and sponsorships.

Awards Ceremony/Parent Event Committee - Mondays at 5pm in the Down Under Food Court

Plan and promote the chapter's awards ceremony/parent event, assist with creation of scrapbook, organize chapter socials and coordinate mentor mentee program activities.

Member Networking Committee- Tuesdays at 5pm in the Down Under Food Court

Plan the annual induction ceremony and chapter showcase for members and their families, organize chapter socials and coordinate the mentor/mentee program activities.

Promotions Committee- Wednesdays at 6pm in the Down Under Food Court

Provide assistance with chapter recruitment efforts and creation of recruitment materials, create the chapter newsletter and write press materials relating to the chapter.
